About Apogee Information Systems
Apogee develops and operates custom digital platforms for European institutions, public organisations and businesses. Since 2002, we have delivered hundreds of projects ranging from Interreg monitoring systems and AI-powered data platforms to learning environments, transactional systems and public-facing digital services.
Since our foundation in 2002 in Thessaloniki, Greece, we have continually expanded our operations to provide services throughout Europe, delivering accuracy, quality, and solid results to our customers and partners.
This resulted in the incorporation of Apogee Information Systems Luxembourg in 2014 to better serve our European clients. Apogee’s international recognition is ensured by its continuous evolution, high level of responsibility, integrity and creative thinking. Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform
Laravel: Analysis, Design, Development, Hosting & Support

Custom-built system using PHP/Laravel to deliver a Monitoring Information & Reporting Assistance platform for the Policy Learning Platform of Interreg Europe.
The system streamlines Peer Reviews, Matchmaking sessions, policy briefs, and expert support, providing a tool that enables monitoring of all involved workflows, thereby supporting more strategic coordination and greater transparency across the platform.
Interreg North Sea Programme OMS - Online Monitoring System
Apogee Essence CMS: Analysis, UX/UI, Design & Development

Apogee supports the digital actions of the IIIB, IVB, VB & VIB Interreg North Sea programmes since 2007. In 2008, we developed the first version of the Online Monitoring System (ΟMS) for the IVB period. The OMS was designed for the North Sea Region Programme to monitor and manage a wide variety of complex procedures and also internal communications.
In 2015, the VB OMS was developed to expand functionality and cover most of the programme’s functions and procedures, including project evaluation, approval, and application, as well as refund transactions.
As of 2021, Apogee has developed and maintains the improved OMS for the programme’s current period (2021-2027). The 3rd version includes new workflows to aid partner collaboration and more secure, efficient submission processes via digital signatures.
ENoLL Knowledge Hub
Apogee Essence CMS/WordPress/Angular: Analysis, Design, Development

Custom-built system for the European Network of Living Labs, designed to manage and share digital resources efficiently. KH supports multiple file types, both online and offline, and provides users with an intuitive wizard to manage resources.
The platform is divided into two sections: a frontend for guest access, allowing users to read, open, and filter resources, and a backend for members and administrators to manage, approve, and modify resources according to their requirements.
Interact Academy Learning Management System
Moodle: Installation, Development, Hosting & Support | 2023 - Ongoing
Apogee implements, hosts, and maintains a learning management system for Interact, enabling participation in short courses and certified training programmes. The system is based on an open-source solution (Moodle), customised to the client's needs for advanced reporting and monitoring, and integrated with an internal authentication system.
Interact INDEX Data Management Tool
Apogee Essence: Analysis, Design, Development, Hosting & Support

Apogee designed, developed, hosts and maintains INDEX, Interact’s data management and visualisation platform for the exchange and analysis of information across Interreg programmes. The platform provides programme stakeholders with structured access to cross-programme data, reporting and interactive visualisation tools.
INDEX currently integrates data of 2800 projects from 19 Interreg programmes and 20 countries. The solution was based on the Apogee Essence CMS, enabling a fully customisable, adaptive system that can easily expand to meet future needs.
The platform has since been further enhanced with AI-powered functionality, including automated project summaries, EUSAIR alignment scoring and interactive visualisations, as well as a conversational chatbot that enables users to query project information and receive contextual answers linked directly to relevant applications, using OpenAI models through Microsoft Azure with private data processing in EU-based data centres.
FORTH (Foundation for Technology & Research)

Apogee designed and developed the website forth.gr of the Foundation for Technology & Research, the largest research centre in Greece, with 9 research Institutes and 3 Special Structures based and operating in 8 cities in Greece. The Foundation focuses on innovative, interdisciplinary research directions of great social and economic interest and high added value. Its Institutes operate in the fields of Natural Sciences and Engineering Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, and Humanities and Social Sciences.
ICARUS AI e-Learning Platform

Apogee designed and developed the Artificial Intelligence E-Learning System ICARUS. The system uses Machine Learning and Big Data analysis to cover business and learning needs. ICARUS makes learning more profile-focused, enhances understanding of business practices, boosts subject understanding and grows engagement. This enhances the value of traditional e‐learning systems as well as the learning material input by the tutor.
Pacific Park Ticketing System
Apogee Essence: Analysis, Design, Development, Hosting & Support

Enki Technologies Inc. has chosen Apogee Voyager as the online ticketing solution for Pacific Park, a popular attraction located on the Santa Monica pier in California. Apogee's solution offers an easy-to-use interface for customers, integration with third-party payment systems (Stripe) and the Park’s backend accounting system, and features like help and refund capabilities that are fully accessible online.
Additionally, the system supports integration with Apple Wallet, enhancing ticket management and check-in processes for visitors. For park staff, the system allows efficient management of products, pricing, promotions, order confirmations, refunds, sales data, and inventory, ensuring smooth operations.
ECPC e-Learning Platform
Dokeos/Moodle: Development, Hosting & Support

The European Centre on Privacy and Cybersecurity - Maastricht University selected Apogee to deliver its courses via an e-Learning platform. We used open-source solutions (Dokeos, later migrated to Moodle) to deliver a modern platform supporting content delivery and secure testing.

A research and collaboration platform for EMEA (Euro – Mediterranean Economists Association) that provides researchers with structured access to data, analytical tools and research-group resources more efficiently than ever before. With its advanced data visualisation capabilities and powerful analytics tools, the platform empowers EMEA to make better-informed decisions and drive progress in their field.
Italian-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce of Athens

Apogee designed and developed a custom, fully responsive platform that strengthens the Chamber’s digital presence and facilitates communication with its members and the wider business community. The website provides easy access to news, events, services, partner information, and membership opportunities, while also offering services such as business-partner searches, promotion of Greek products in Italy, translation, and tele-interpretation.
Philips University Student Information System
Gibbon: Analysis, Design, Development, Hosting & Support

Apogee implemented and extended and maintains Philips University’s student information system using the open-source Gibbon platform, adapting it to support the institution’s academic, administrative, accounting and recordkeeping requirements. With over 40 years of academic excellence, the university boasts modern, advanced facilities that create an enabling environment for learning.
Apogee, using modern and adaptive technology, designed a solution tailored to the institution’s specific needs. Our custom solution, based on an open-source system, not only enables the addition of software features for current and future users but also ensures the protection of personal data. The system has been expanded to meet customer needs and includes new functionality for accounting and recordkeeping.
